Would an Olaplex Treatment Help Your Hair?
Perhaps your hair feels rougher after colour, your ends are breaking, or a treatment recommended by a friend has left you wondering whether you need it too.
Olaplex may be worth discussing, but the name alone does not tell us what your hair needs. At Absolute Hair, the useful first step is to look at your hair’s condition, its colour history and the result you want before choosing a treatment.

Begin with what has changed
Tell your stylist when you first noticed the difference and what you have used or had done since then. Colouring, lightening, styling habits and your home routine all belong in that conversation.
It also helps to describe the problem plainly. Does your hair feel tangled after washing? Do the ends snap? Is the finish dull, or does it simply feel different from the day you left the salon? Those observations are more useful than arriving with a diagnosis of what is missing.
Understand which product you are considering
Olaplex includes different treatment and care products, with different purposes and instructions. A salon treatment, a home treatment and a conditioner should not be treated as interchangeable steps.
The manufacturer positions its bond-building treatments around damaged hair. That is a reason to assess whether a particular treatment suits your hair; it is not a promise that every concern will be resolved by buying the full range.
Ask what improvement you should reasonably look for, how the product fits with the rest of your routine and when to review the result.

A treatment does not decide how far we can lighten
Wanting a lighter colour and choosing a treatment are related decisions, but they are not the same decision. Your starting colour, previous services, condition and desired result still matter.
We may recommend a smaller change, more than one appointment or a pause before further lightening. A treatment should never be presented as permission to push beyond what your hair can comfortably tolerate, or as a guarantee of no breakage.
If a bigger colour change is your goal, read our colour-planning guide before deciding which service to book.

Follow the directions on your own bottle
Check the full product name and the instructions supplied with it. Product versions can change, so a routine saved from an older article may no longer match the bottle in your bathroom.
Use the stated order, amount, contact time and rinse or leave-in directions. Leaving every treatment on for longer, or replacing conditioner without checking, is not a dependable shortcut to a better result. Ask us to help simplify the routine if several products seem to overlap.
What if you do not need another treatment?
A useful recommendation can be to change how you handle or style your hair, adjust your existing care or tidy the ends. You should understand why an extra treatment is being suggested and what it adds.
For help with that decision, explore our salon treatments or talk with us at your next visit. Bring the products you use into the conversation so your salon and home care make sense together.
